Eastern Electrics is a London based electronic festival that has a capacity of 20,000 people. Born out of London’s thriving underground culture they have had a big part to play in celebrating dance music with the wider UK population in recent years! A weekend of the best sounds spanning over multiple genres including; House, Techno, Drum and Bass & Garage. A team of 6 was recruited by head honcho Mike Roberts who led the overall visual production and delivery of a 2 minute promotional video.

We took aerial control alongside leading the interview process for high profile artists such as; Erick Morillo, Hot Since 82, Jackmaster & many more.

The tasks.

The following requirements needed to be met to provide our client with their desired outcome:


A team of 4 was in charge of capturing the highlights throughout the weekend with each member given a dedicated stage/area to primarily focus on. Direction was given from the offset to what we wanted and needed capturing following consultations with festival leads. Big props to project director Mike Roberts on curating a magnificent final production. The video was to be created to assist the launch of the 2019 campaign which had an amazing response and recorded over 55,000 organic views.

With drone operational guidelines ever changing we had to ensure our due diligence was top priority during the lead up to the festival whereby we engaged with local authorities and planned our flight route in line with legislation. As CAA approved pilot’s our number 1 objective is to capture brilliance in the safest way possible.

With the weather being beautiful we had no worries in terms of flight termination due to adverse weather conditions. A very smooth operation from start to finish with some amazing aerial shots captured to showcase the sheer scale and the stunning surrounding views.

We had the absolute delight in interviewing some of Eastern Electrics guest performers. We were tasked with creating engaging content within a short time frame due to artist touring commitments. We established a 3 question setup to maximise results.

We regularly liaised with the on site PR team to ensure the content being captured met their project deliverables. We successfully interviewed over 15 high profile artists spanning across a multitude of genres.
