Dropshot is a recently opened entertainment venue in Birmingham’s creative quarter, Digbeth. We first came across Dropshot through some good old fashioned marketing leaflets being left in our shared office space. We took a walk down one lunch and was taken back by the potential that was in front of us. Our sister brand Subtle Sounds immediately drafted together a Skiddle Partnership and hosted an intimate event with local talent Dapz On The Map. Following further conversations with the venue owners we were drafted in to develop an engaging concept for their untapped market of students.

The tasks.

The following requirements needed to be met to provide our client with their desired outcome:

Development.

With a 3 month lead time to curate, implement and deliver the initial pilot test we were as ever confident in our ability to generate a concept that offered a sustained market and in-flow of new student faces. Concept ENT-A was born. Abbreviated for Entertainment and Activity. The concept had a huge student focus so we worked closely with the venue and our partners to package an affordable, enjoyable experience that could occur week in week out for a wide range of students. Ensuring those who weren’t particularly a party goer could also join in and socialise with peers. With projects such as this we take care of everything from ideation, content creation and delivery.


We successfully hosted the pilot test in February 2020 and had confirmed dates for our 2nd & 3rd events in March. Like a lot of our projects this has come to a halt due to COVID19. But, on the bright side we had amazing feedback, a happy venue and happy students that requested a second booking following the pilot. We have some real amazing plans and a solid foundation to now scale this concept alongside Dropshot & co.
